Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir is a Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka and a former Chairman of the Department of Development Studies. His academic and professional career spans over two decades, combining teaching, research, policy formulation, and international development engagement.
He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of London, alongside an MSc in Development and Financial Economics. He also completed advanced postgraduate training in Trade Policy and Commercial Diplomacy from the Universities of Carleton and Ottawa, Canada. His work focuses on development policy, political economy, industrialisation, social protection, climate change, and biodiversity.
